FUI and screen design for Netflix's Another Life and CW productions. Designing the fictional interfaces that characters interact with on screen.

FUI (Fictional User Interface) design is a discipline most designers don't know exists until they need it. I designed the screens, displays, and interfaces that appear in-frame on Netflix productions — the kind of work where getting it wrong means an audience notices, but getting it right means they're pulled deeper into the story.

The constraint is the point. A sci-fi interface has to feel plausibly futuristic without being distracting. It has to read clearly on camera at odd angles, under production lighting, often out of focus in the background.
